Orchids plants on London Bridge

As usual, I just get to the Vauxhall market to buy flowers. Today the traffic was infernal and I just buy 10 beautiful orchids plants. Take some pictures of the market flowers

and on the road again. Today my target place to offer flowers it is London Bridge. My 10 orchids plants look so great in that 2 bags what I have it. Because I was late, 10.30 there was so many people on the bridge. Anyway, I was there to do something nice, something that I like to do it. But because I was so close to the water the wind was strong. My orchids plants just fell it, the same problem with the banner. I just keep the orchids in the bags. Nop… It was just a fight with the wind, and no chance to win. I just let a flower to a lady from the shop in front of me and I go.

Running away from the wind, I just offer another flower to a lady to the gate on London Bridge station. I saw a big a simile on lady’s face. I just spend a few minutes at the station to decide where should I go. OK, I will go to Stratford, is in my way to Ilford, guess what I just see the lady with the orchids plant what I give her before, she starts taking pictures on the flower. I just felt something nice, before she offers me a smile now I see her take the pictures on the orchids plant. That means she really likes it, I was happy.

I just take the train (Jubily) to Stratford. There on the left side when you came out from Jubily, it is Pret coffee. I just sow the 2 ladies working inside. Live the bag and the banner outside, take 2 orchids plants with me for the ladies. She was surprised, like everyone she asks me what reason, why? I sow how she starts smiling and take the orchids plant. Another lady came from my back and get close to her. Now there are 3 ladies, ok I told her, I will go and bring

one more.

Westfield mall- that is the target. What can I say, 3 orchids plants just fly there. The same ladies ask me, what is the reason? In the end, they smile and take the orchids plants. I still have 2 flowers to offer. I go to the train to Ilford, I have something to do today at 12:00, and now is 11:05. In the train, I take a seat next to 2 old ladies. They have white hair, really white like in movies. The lady next to me she told me that she loves the color. And orchids are her favorites flowers, purple orchids plants. Really? Do you like it? Then… you can have it, it’s yours. And I offer the purple orchid plant to her. The other orchid I offered to the other lady. All the road to Ilford we have a chat.

In the end, the date of 15 September was a good day for me.

No reason for a Flower

You don’t need a reason to offer flowers to a woman

Last week I was speaking with my friend about my project. Shades of Romeo — A new day of Love.

I try to explain to him that a lot of time men is taking the flowers. He told me that is ok because in the end that flowers will get to a woman and this is mine objective. He has totally true, yep I just have to agree with him.

Monday is a good day to offer some flowers on the streets. Like usually go to Vauxhall market and after that to Liverpool Street station. It takes me some time, especially as I take the public transport.

Today I just buy 10 orchids. They are not so big, but they look nice. Jumping on the bus 344, there were more people like usually, but was ok I did not broke any flowers. On the road to Liverpool Street, I just saw a lot of people on the London Bridge, o… that is a very good spot for me. Next time I will go there.

I just get there, in Liverpool Street station and I start to prepare the banner. In 2 minutes a man just came to me and ask me if the flowers are for free. I told him, yes and if he wants one I will be glad to give him, but first I have to put the stickers on and take some pictures after that. Wait for me 5 min and you will have one. He really waits for me, the first flowers I just give it to him. I remembered the conversation with my friend Theo, a woman will get that flower in the end.

After that, a woman just came to me and ask me what’s the reason that I give flowers for free? I start to explain that you don’t need a reason, just like that.

-Would you like one, is for free?

-For free? really? just like that for no reason, o thank you very much. ( she told me.) On her face, I can see the surprise and a beautiful smile. “She smiled with her face”. THAT WAS A GREAT SMILE.

I just saw 2 Asiatic ladies waiting for the bus. They were talking to each other and watching me. I just go to them and offer flowers for both. They were looking so strange to me and ask me:

-why? why are you give us flowers?

-just like that, no reason, I’m sorry if you don’t like it. It is for free, you want it?

-For free? really? of course, I like it; and both of them take the flowers. I just go back to my place and take other flowers in my arms. Watching that 2 ladies going to the buss, one of them before to get on the bus, she turned to me and smile. I left my head slightly in gratitude.

I just finish all the flowers, and I left home. Today I take a free day of work, I fill a little more tied. But anyway I get my pictures, I get the story … it was a good morning for me.

Good news is coming

Shades of Romeo — A new day of Love

I decide to stay at Liverpool Street station, is more easy for me in this way and hope for people to hear about me easier. You know how to say … advertising or marketing. Today I became professional, I just have the big banner with me, I have the flowers from marketing and now is time to start my … activity, because I can’t say is a business.

When was the last time you get flowers?

Fist person who came to me and starts talking it was homeless. I said in my mind “please I just want to give flowers to ladies, not you, not today “. Explain to him that the flowers are for ladies, and he takes a sticker and let me alone. Ready with the flowers in my hands and waiting… waiting, and no one came to take a flower.

After a few minutes, a men came to me and ask me very nicely if they really are for free.

Yes, they are. Would you like one? ( but in my mind… “really, a man… again …why? off … ) I just give him a flower, people around as start watching me.

I just start to have a little more courage, asking the first women in front of me ” would you like a flower? si for free “, and she take it. A really beautiful smile she just gives it to me. I start to feel good.

A man stops in front of me and asks me — “what is the reason for giving free flowers on the streets”. My answer was very short “you don’t need a reason to offer a flower to a woman”, but in my mind, I just have different thought “don’t you even think about it to ask for a flower”.

I just saw a woman from 5 m distance coming to me. She tries to give me money for the flower, I explain to her that flowers are for free. She really was happy and smile. I was filling well. A couple on my left was watching me, they were taking between them. The man starts coming to me, I go to him and give him a flower, I was watching him how he go to the lady give her the flower. That was for me a great feeling, to see people smile because of me. Another woman from the bus station cames directly to me and ask me if she can have one. Yes, of course, is my pleasure. The last flowers I give it to another woman, I just get another smile.

From flowers to work

I just finish with the flowers and go to work. It was like 9 o’clock, usually, I start working at 7:30. I just meet with my supervisor Matthew, one of my best supervisor. He knows already about the flowers and what I’m doing, hi like’s my idea. He just sends me with Iury ( my Russian friend), start working with him on the tower. We have some mastic to clean.

After 2 hours working with Iury, our manager James came to us, asking us what are we doing there on top. Explain to him we are preparing the top and cleaning for wood bords what is coming there. Then he just asks me:

-Marian, are you give flowers on the streets for free?

– Yes, ( I just answering him)

-Why? why are you this? just like that give it for free?

– Is long story, but I like to see people smiling, it makes me fill well

– O oo is very nice of you, for what are you doing. ( he told me)

-Thank a lot ( I said)

Iury was next to me on top of the tower. He listens to all the conversation what we have.

– For this, he deserves a raise ( he just said to James, our manager )

-YOU SUCK (James just told him)

All of us start laughing. It was a great day. For me that job in Old Street is finished, I’m gone miss the team. There was one of my best team.

I can be, All of us can be a Romeo. I just want to explain to you, that “Romeo” is not only one person. It is true about the name, there are a lot of persons who have this name Romeo. ( given by the parents)

When was the last time you get Flowers

But here in Shades of Romeo is not about that persons, is about Shakespeare, that Romeo from Romeo and Juliet. Almost every persons know the opera. There is about Love and tragedy, but we speak about love. That Love what all of us we are looking for, and we want to find it. That type of love. “When you fell butterfly in your stomach”, to be in love again like it was when you were young, high school love.

I’m sure that everyone has something to say about love, there are a lot of ways to speak or write about it. I just want to speak about giving flowers to the person you love. This is one of many ways to show your love. In the same time, you just became a ” Romeo “.Yep, that Romeo what he is looking for love and bring love. I just hate guys when they say that they don’t offer flowers, they don’t like to do it, it’s old style, he tried to look so tough guy…but he has a tattoo with roses on his arm. Upsy… and I have to believe him.

We have to accept what we are, who we are and what makes us feel good and to be a nice person too. I just love to offer flowers, for me is like a hobby. A lot of friends ask me: ” you buy flowers and offer for free, you just lose money in this way”. Yes and no, always this is my answer. I just want to create a new day of love, same as Valentine Day. ” Shades of Romeo — A new day of Love”.I think for a woman is not enough to get flowers only 1 or 2 times per year. Like a man, we love

That’s why I guess you agree with me and when you offer flowers to the person you love, you just became a Romeo. Be that Romeo for your Juliet and nobody needs to know, only your love.

From enthusiastic to disappointed

Shades Of Romeo - A new day of Love

Today is Thursday 19/07, I just take a free day from work. I have almost 3 weeks of work, every day. A good opportunity to go to Vauxhall market to buy more flowers. I just find there some colored orchids. They were small and really cute, 15 the number.

After I buy them I take the bus to go back to Liverpool Station,  is more easy for me to go direct with the train to Ilford, where I live in.

I go to City Point square, is a nice place there with a lot of benches. I let there 5 of them, I start to feel enthusiastic again. Is something that I like to do it, I take a few pictures and go. Still, 10 flowers have to go. 

I just find another nice spot and I start to let the flowers there. I just put there 4 orchids and the security guy was next to me. Try to explain to him what I’m doing and I just take some pictures for a website. Next, to us, an asiatic guy came and assist with our conversation. ” It’s for free? ok, thanks a lot” and he starts to take all of them. ” It’s for my wife, she loves flowers”.

The russian (I have 1,83 m …but he was a big guy next to me) security guy was watching me, the short guy next to me takes all the flowers, and I could take only one picture. I just hope he is not gone sell the flowers, he will give it for free.

And because of this, I change “the way”. I start to let only one flower, I think is better like this. In the small park, bus station, on the slab, in the Liverpool Station, even on the train.

Five white orchids in Old Street station

Monday morning 16/07/2018 I was coming from Vauxhall market with 5 white orchids. I was so happy and I have some emotions. I start to put in practice one of my dreams from … when I was a little younger than now. I remember when I use to give flowers on streets to girls for no reason. I just like that, I can say it is like a hobby.

Now I have to change the technics, my English is not so good and sometimes I have difficulties when I try to express my self. That way I decided to live the flowers in a public space, with a message ” It’s FREE you can take it”, “When was the last time you get flowers?”. If you have more message I will be glad if you write it to me. I will say thanks from now, :).  

To choose the spot was easy. Because I working next to Old Street Station, I was thinking … I live the flowers in the street, take some pictures and go fast to work because I’m already late to work. Ok, from Liverpool Street Station it takes 10 minutes to walk to Old Street.

Now my heart starts to pump a little more blood. A few people stop behind me. They are curious to see what I’m doing there. I put those 5 white orchids on a small sill, I attach the paper with the message and start taking pictures. Now I start to have a feeling that every person on the street is watching me. I just take fast a few pictures and cross the street to buy a coke, actually try to hide to see what was happening.

When I came out of Sainsbury’s, I just sow only 1 white orchid left. I can’t believe it, it was like 3 min, and already gone. I was so happy, really happy. A feeling what you cannot describe… you need to feel it.
